Last week, Artboy and I ventured out for our Anniversary and an early Valentine’s dinner at local favorite El Gaucho. To be honest we had a $75 credit that was expiring so we went and spent $600 (after the discount) on steak and wine! I know, I know, that makes no sense at all. Especially considering my current health! I figured I’d share a bit of the love we received from one of our favorite PNW restaurants.

We went to the Seattle location for dinner, which far surpasses the business steel and glass location in Bellevue. We normally choose Bellevue for lunch or happy hour with Artboy’s co-workers, so it’s nice to have the more romantic version so close to our home.

We made the Wine Captain work and ended up with a bottle of Justin Isosceles Reserve. It’s from Paso Robles, which is a little further south than I normally venture for California wines at restaurants, but it was big and bold, which is what we were looking for that evening.

As you can see, I didn’t even take a photo of any food! I totally fail as a blogger on a regular basis. (admittedly I am a terrible blogger). But when we came out of our four-hour dinner, it had snowed!

Now that we’ve gorged ourselves on wine and steak, what will we do for actual Valentine’s Day? Well that’s a surprise, so you’ll have to tune back in next week! What are your Valentine’s plans?
