I was really just playing with the Getty embed feature and chose one of my favorite memories from this year’s Coachella. The Replacements played weekend two with Billie Joe, while Paul Westerberg hung out on a couch.

I know, I know, I owe y’all a post about the Polar Night Half, but between Norway, Sweden, and Denmark and now Disneyland, I haven’t had a moment to breathe, nonetheless look at photos and post a blog! It was awesome; I’ll post more later.

What I really wanted to stick up here was a little thing that has been floating around me head lately. What I learned about and from running in 2013….

In Norway

In Norway

It’s just past 5 a.m. here in Oslo and I’m itching to go for a run. I’m also tapering, which I don’t normally do before a half. I’ve also been traveling so much. Thanks to an insanely long layover in London, it took 26 hours to get to Oslo from Seattle. I lost even more time because of the time change.

Seattle (half) Marathon is hills…

So most people research a race before they register. They pour over course maps and look at their calendar to see how it fits it. That person is not me. I set my mind on something and make it happen, no matter what.
